FUNDRAISING EVENTS
We’re always extremely grateful to those who help raise money towards our work. It helps us do even more for young people living with HIV and those who care for them.
Get started with your fundraising by sharing our general flyer to let people know about our work before they donate.
You can also set up a JustGiving page, linked to the Chiva JustGiving profile. This is an easy way to raise funds online. Follow this information on how to set up a page.
Let us know what you’re planning by tagging us @chivaprojects in your social posts, or by emailing getinvolved@chiva.org.uk. We can then offer support and share your efforts across our social channels and through our networks. See below how fundraisers like you are already raising money for Chiva.
Red Run
Since 2018, Chiva has been part of Red Run, a 5/10K charity fun run and walk which takes place to commemorate World AIDS Day in support of UK-based HIV charities. In 2023, nearly £250,000 was raised at the event to support and strengthen the UK’s response to HIV. 18 Chiva supporters ran and walked around the track in Victoria Park on the chilly but sunny Saturday.
Red Run 2024 will take place at the end of November. Find out more here.
Walking the Wirral
Fundraisers, Ralph (10) and Alistair (13), walked the 12.5-mile Wirral Coastal Walk to raise money for our work. Despite a blister each and tired legs, they made it to the finish line.
Sponsored walks are easy to plan under your own steam if you want to take on a new challenge and explore a part of the UK you may not know.
World AIDS Day Bake Sales, Pub Quizzes and Bingo
To commemorate World AIDS Day, several bake sales, pub quizzes, and even a bingo have been held to raise money for us. Get in touch if you need any support organising a fundraising event at work. We can even send along a colleague to talk about the work we do.
Jet’s mile swim
Our fundraising champion Jet (8), swam a mile (73 lengths) to raise money for us, fundraising from a stall at her school and her house with her sister, Della. We’re very grateful to Jet for raising over £1,000!
